It's Grandpa's birthday in a couple of weeks. What on earth are we going to get him?
I guess we could get him the usual socks or shorts.
Or maybe we could get him something completely different that would actually be good for him as well?
My Dad is in his 80s and one day I gave him one of my handmade soaps when I was visiting. The next day he came out after his morning shower and he was stroking his chin and made a statement that nearly made me fall off my chair.
He said, "Trish, I only tried this soap because I felt like I had to, but it really does make my skin feel better."
Needless to say, I was tickled pink.

Due to the glycerin naturally produced in soap, it draws moisture to itself, AKA it is a humectant. This means making sure that it has the chance to dry out when not in use. Please do not leave it sitting in a puddle of water when you have finished your bath or shower.
To get that extra mile, I have found that rubbing the soap onto a wash cloth makes it last a lot longer, which took a bit of training as I used to lather the soap directly on my skin.
